We welcome you to shop our garden center. We're located at the corner of Route 31 and Aucutt Road in Montgomery, just south of Aurora, IL. Your challenge will be selecting the prettiest rose bush to take home to your garden! Don’t miss our display of Knock Out Roses® (Also referred to as Knockout). We're just minutes away from Naperville, Oswego, Yorkville, Aurora, Yorkville, Bristol, Sugar Grove and North Aurora; 20 minutes south of Geneva, Batavia and St. Charles; about half an hour west of suburbs like Oak Brook and Hinsdale and less than an hour from downtown Chicago. All American Rose Selection (AARS) is an organization of rose producers who evaluate new rose varieties across the United States. This two year process of evaluation in all climactic conditions brings you only the top performers. The roses that have received this prestigious recognition are marked below with the year of their award.

Following is a price list for all of the rose bushes that you can purchase at Schaefer Greenhouses. Categories of Rose Bushes available include Hybrid Tea & Grandiflora, Floribunda, Climber, Romantic Trellising (Old English) & David Austin, Miniature, Shrub, Patio Trees and Ground Cover Roses. Once you come in for a visit, you'll never visit another garden center.

Hybrid Tea Roses are popular for their long stems and large blooms. They are excellent garden plants suitable for cutting gardens, single plantings or in mixed beds with other perennials, shrubs and roses. Grandiflora Roses are similar to Hybrid Teas in habit and size, offering colorful clusters of fragrant blooms.

Floribunda Roses are excellent for landscaping. They are shorter than Hybrid Teas and produce profuse clusters of blooms from June until the first frost. They make excellent hedges and borders.

Climber Roses add beauty throughout your garden. Grow climbers along fences, pillars, arbors and trellises.

Old English garden roses are known for their fragrance, repeat bloom cycle and overall hardiness. Their natural looking cupped bloom and carefree manner work well in natural garden settings. David Austin Roses are perfect for the busy gardener!

Miniature Roses are hardy, easy care and bloom all season. These compact roses are ideal for rock gardens, borders and containers.

Shrub Roses have become popular for their beautiful color selection, continuous bloom, and disease resistance. Use them as colorful hedges or borders, shrubs or groundcovers. These include the popular Knock Out and Double Knock Out varieties.

Patio Trees can add a unique splash of color to your garden, deck or patio.

Groundcover Roses are vigorous and low growing. They provide an excellent soil cover when planted in mass – perfect for borders and slope coverage. Easy care and summer long color.
